Google News is back up and running Friday afternoon after users reported outages while using the feature.
“There was an issue that was briefly affecting some results on Google News, Discover and other products," a Google spokesperson said in a statement to USA TODAY. "We’ve fixed the issue and things should be working normally now.”
Over 1,000 reports were made to the outage tracker Downdetector as of 9 a.m. ET. Google News and Google Trends appear to be mainly impacted by this outage.
Friday morning, Downdetector's outage map shows outages reported across the U.S., from Boston to Dallas and Los Angeles.
