Wait until the hometown sees this video!
HGTV's Erin Napier recently gave insight into her husband and Home Town co-host Ben Napier's fitness journey over the past few months, sharing a clip of his transformation.
"@scotsman.co got hardcore about his health and fitness last winter ahead of his big shoulder surgery that was in March so he could sleep better on his back and lower his BP," she wrote on Instagram July 17. "Mission accomplished."
As for what inspires Ben to stay on this track? "What ya think @people? Can I make the top 50 again?" the 39-year-old, who was featured in People's 2021 "Sexiest Man Alive" issue, wrote in the comments. "That's my real motivation."
His fellow stars also complimented him on his journey. "Wow just wow!!!!" Wilson Phillips singer Carnie Wilson wrote underneath the post. "Congrats!!!!!!!" Added Octavia Spencer, "Dayum!!!!" Fellow HGTV host Scott McGillivray also got in on the love, noting, "Looking slick."
And it looks like Ben is feeling good, too. When a commenter expressed hope that his shoulder had healed in the months since his surgery, Erin replied, "Physical therapy is going great and he's made HUGE progress!"
And Ben added that he's been taking "lots of ice baths!"
In addition to focusing on his health, Ben has been busy with his work and family. Along with having their HGTV empire, he and Erin, 37, run multiple businesses in their home state of Mississippi and raise daughters Helen, 5, and Mae, 2.
And last year, Ben spoke about how his kids inspire him to be healthy.
"I've got two daughters—you know one on the way," he said on a 2022 episode of Home Town, before Mae was born, while training with Erin's brother Clark to do a pull-up. "I am getting older. I'm trying to take a little bit better care of myself. I need to start working out a little more intentionally. So, I'm using pull-ups as like a benchmark. This is my new lifestyle. This is every day."
